Michael Krouse

Board Member

Michael Krouse was named System Vice President and Chief Information Officer for OhioHealth in March 2007 and named System Vice President in 2011. In this role, he is responsible for providing leadership, vision and oversight for a broad range of technology areas, including information systems and technology and clinical and imaging engineering. He has overall responsibility for the direction, coordination and management of all IS/IT business and clinical functions.

Mr. Krouse has more than 25 years of experience managing, leading and advising healthcare organizations in the areas of advanced information technology, leadership development and strategic planning. He was awarded the top HIT Men and Innovator of the year in 2012, named one of the Premier 100 IT Leaders by Computerworld in 2009 and has led OhioHealth IT to recognition as Most Wired, Best Places to Work in IT, CIO 100 and many other such honors for several years running.

Prior to joining OhioHealth, he was founder and president of KH Consulting, a healthcare professional services firm. Previously, he was Vice President of Administrative Services with Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, Vice President and Managing Director with First Consulting Group, and Senior Manager with Ernst & Young.

Mr. Krouse is an active board member and past Board Chair of the Central Ohio Health Information Exchange, a board member of the Columbus Children’s Theater and serves on several advisory boards for technology companies. He is a long-standing member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, Healthcare Information Management Systems Society and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
