Community Project Manager - Eastern Ohio

Jim Carroll, the Community Project Manager for Eastern Ohio, recently joined the Ohio Health Information Partnership as a full-time staff member after working with us since 2010, shortly after the creation of this organization. As the Director of the Northeast Central Ohio Regional Extension Center (NECO REC),

Jim worked diligently to assist primary care physicians in the adoption of electronic health records (EHR) as far back as 2010. In total, we ended up helping more than 6,000 physicians in EHR adoption and thousands more in reaching Meaningful Use at that time, and Jim was instrumental in making our Regional Extension Center one of the most successful in the nation.

Since then, he joined us as a consultant and now as a staff member in assisting practices and hospitals with connections to the CliniSync Health Information Exchange. im brings 42 years of experience in Health Information Technology, including his service as the Chief Information Officer for the Sisters of Charity in Northeast Ohio and his leadership roles in other Fortune 500 companies in the area. Jim started his career in IT as an instructor teaching Data Processing at the Medina Vocational Center and the University of Akron. In 1983, he moved into the industry and began his IT management career.
